## Affected machines
This bulletin covers three Husqvarna gas-powered grass string trimmer models.

- **130C** (curved-shaft trimmer; SKUs: 970514301, 970514302, 970514303, 970694601, 970694701)
- **130L** (straight-shaft trimmer; SKUs: 970514401, 970514402, 970514403, 970694801, 970694901)
- **330LK** (straight-shaft convertible trimmer; SKUs: 970514501, 970514502, 970514503, 970514504, 970545001)
Model and SKU numbers are printed on the serial number tags at the bottom side of the motor housing.
Sold at Husqvarna dealers, Lowe's, Tractor Supply, Amazon, and other home and garden stores nationwide from **October 2021 through November 2023** for between $250 and $300.
About **403,000 US units** affected (plus 17,230 in Canada).
## Issue
The **ignition module is wired incorrectly**, which can cause an **electrical spark or arcing**. If gas is on or near the unit when sparking or arcing occurs, the spark can ignite the fuel, posing a fire hazard.
Reported field incidents at time of recall:
- 12 thermal events (US)
- 1 minor burn (US)
- 0 thermal events or injuries reported in Canada at recall date
## What to do
1. Identify the unit by model number and SKU on the serial number tag at the bottom of the motor housing.
2. **Stop using the grass trimmer immediately.**
3. Contact an authorized Husqvarna dealer for free repair.

### Class action settlement
In September 2025, a class action settlement received preliminary approval offering **$45 vouchers** to affected owners who bring their trimmer in for the recall repair between **October 3, 2025** and **January 2, 2026**, plus a 1-year limited product warranty extension and 3-year extended warranty on the ignition module. The final fairness hearing was scheduled for February 2, 2026. Affected owners should consult the official settlement website for current claim status.
