John Deere 1025R Air Cleaner mount failure causes catastrophic engine failure.

Vibration will cause the aircleaner mount to break the engine intake runner. The broken pieces are usually ingested by the engine, causing catastrophic engine damage.
Details
The engine air cleaner assembly for 2013-early 2018 models is mounted to the top of the engine, on the intake runner. Vibration from the engine running will weaken the overstressed intake runner, causing it to fail. When it fails (breaks in the smaller pieces) those pieces are ingested by the running engine, causing catastrophic engine failure that in every case that's been published on forums, has resulted in a requirement for complete engine replacement with an estimated cost around $8k. John Deere did have a program that was replacing out of warranty engines for this failure, however that program ended in June, 1, 2022. There is a kit to relocate the airfilter from the engine intake runner (airfilter canister runs front to back) to the radiator support frame (aircleaner runs from side to side, infront of the engine).
